An addict’s dangerous behaviors not only affect themselves but they also affect the family as a whole. Some of the side effects of an addiction can include, but are not limited to:
- Co-Occurring Disorders
- Aggression/Irritability
- Suicidal Ideations
- Feelings of Loss/Worthlessness
- Many of these side effects not only affect the addicted person, but also their family members and loved ones. This is why we use the Family Systemic Model for Interventions.
A Family Systemic Model is a way that an entire family can truly heal from an addiction as a whole if the family is involved with the treatment. The ultimate goal of the Family Systemic Model is the entire family will become motivated to seek treatment for themselves and break the pattern of behaviors that has been enabling the addiction to continue.
Drug Screening is offered with Substance Abuse Counseling Services when needed.
